Hi SH, We have reviewed the main board and heat spreader assembly with ME/HW team, and found that the J4 pin header(debug port of VS550) is very close to the bottom heat spreader. If J4 is in contact with the heat spreader, the main board may not bootup properly. Could you please check the four defective samples in ALT to see if the "No boot" issue is related to J4 pin header? Please find the J4 analysis report as attachment. Thanks, Regards, Sean |

Hi, Sean As you see board, J4 is similar with SMT materials. That means J4 doesn't have no hole-hole pin(don't have pin protrusion pins). In addition, that type(dip type components) have endurance about PCB bending. Please more analysis about this issue. Best regards Lonnie Kim |

Hi Lonnie, So, you can confirm the "no boot" samples in ALT is not related to J4, right? Because the J4 material we used in DVT3 is long leg type, which is different with DVT2&1(short leg type). If you confirm the defect samples in your side is not related to J4, then please send two defect samples to Taiwan for our RD checking. Thanks, Regards, Sean |

Hi, Sean After analysis this issue, your correct. J4 at DVT2 was short leg, so it might not be short with heat spread. BTW, could you produce without J4 at mass production? Best regards Lonnie Kim |
